12 days isn't enough

Well day 3 came and went. We went and hiked Arctic Valley. Pam stayed at the car, Stu and Em gave up and decided to nap on the mountain side 1/3 way through, John, Rob, dogs, Amanda and Mike made it the furthest, turning around when we were at the road.

After that we went to the Eagle River Bear Paw festival for some fair food. We hung out with Joe, Ana, Bucky, Matt and Kristin. Stella laughed at a very expensive hedgehog (?) stuffed animal so we bought it for her (suckers!). We named it Harriet.

Then we went to dinner at Benihana for Palden's birthday. Lots of fun!

Busy, busy, busy!

We arrived, without any airline drama or baby plane meltdowns (thanks, Stella!), at 6 pm on July 7th. It has been wonderful so far. We attempted to go to dinner at Moose's Tooth with Bucky, Taylor, Joe, Ana, Bob and Nate; Stella slept through the appetizers but woke up with a fury when dinner arrived...so we headed out.

Day 2 included a hike through Kincaid Park down to the beach with Rob and the pups (Fry and Scout), Stu, Em, Pam, John, Mike, Stella and me. It was a nice little hike, great way to get our feet wet (not literally wet, just ready for hiking).

Then we headed to Bear's Tooth for some snacks. We ended the night with some beers at the Snow Goose, beer-battered halibut at F Street Station and more beers at Darwin's. After that we left Stu and Em to play downtown (where they had a BIG time).
